The 36th International Symposium on Lattice Gauge Theory
Venue
Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, USA
Date
July 22 - July 28, 2018

In July 2018 I attended the 36th International Symposium on Lattice Gauge Theory (Lattice2018), which is the largest conference of the lattice field theory community. This was the second time I attended this conference, after Lattice2014 at Columbia University. I believe that going to conferences is a great opportunity to meet with new people and expand my network in my research field. This conference was also a good chance to see friends and colleagues that I haven’t seen in a long time. In addition, since in the last year I changed institutions and collaborations, as I got my postdoctoral appointment in Stony Brook University, I was looking forward to meet with my new collaborators, whom I had only talked to via teleconference calls until before the conference. The venue, Michigan State University, is a great campus, and I enjoyed my visit and the conference there a lot. My contribution to the conference was a presentation that I gave, based on the work I had accomplished during the first year of my postdoctoral appointment at Stony Brook University.
