Hello and welcome! I’m Christos, a passionate Computational Scientist with a strong background in Scientific Software Development, High-Performance Computing and Theoretical and Computational Physics. In a typical day I research, develop and program sophisticated methodologies with direct applications in Medical Imaging. I apply my extensive experience in GPU and High-Performance computing, gained from many years of academic research, to ensure that the methods I implement run efficiently on state-of-the-art Radiotherapy medical devices for the treatment of various types of cancer.
When I’m not coding, I enjoy singing and playing the guitar and piano. Some of my interests are reading, cooking, digital photography, traveling and aviation. Scroll down to learn more about me and my work!
Work Experience
Develop original programming code using C++ and CUDA to implement cutting-edge scientific medical imaging methods on high-performance computing platforms featuring NVIDIA GPUs, and ensure that these run reliably, safely and efficiently on the company's medical device products.
PhD studies. Focus on developing original methods, high-performance-computing and the efficient utilization of CPUs and GPUs for Lattice QCD applications, to make first-time computations of key scientific observables feasible.

My Interests
When I’m not in front of my computer screen doing Physics and Programming, I find myself reading, or singing and recording songs with my guitar. I also enjoy taking pictures with my digital camera. Check out some of my pictures in my flickr and instagram accounts! I admittedly love travelling, and always like to express my fascination in the aviation industry and my endless love for aircraft. I can’t resist to mediterranean cuisine, a fresh cup of coffee and a hot cup of tea.
